Narc booting to a root shell and running uname -a

Narc is an experimental operating system for x86_64, AArch64 and RISC-V 64. Unlike Tunix, it does not borrow a userland. The libc, the init system and the shell are all its own.

  • Pablo is PID 1. It mounts the filesystems and supervises services.
  • caposh is the shell, with job control and line editing.
  • libnarc is the native interface to the kernel, with libc on top.

Run it

make ARCH=x86_64 run

Use aarch64 or riscv64 for the other architectures.
